At Insightful Property Inspections, an inspection is more than a service—it is a responsibility. My name is Trevor Haefke, founder and inspector at Insightful Property Inspections. My understanding of construction began long before I entered the profession. Growing up in a family-owned general contracting business, I was exposed from an early age to the craftsmanship, problem-solving, and attention to detail required to build and maintain quality homes and buildings. Through the work of numerous skilled trades, I learned how structures are built, how they perform over time, and how quality construction reveals itself in both visible and hidden ways.

What began as early exposure to the construction industry evolved into a lifelong career. For more than 25 years, I have worked throughout the construction industry in both hands-on and leadership roles, including carpenter, foreman, superintendent, estimator, project coordinator, manager, general contractor, and construction business owner.

My experience spans a wide range of projects, including residential homes, custom remodels, multifamily housing, commercial buildings, high-rise developments, structural framing systems, complex renovations, and design-build construction. This diverse background provides a practical understanding of how buildings function, age, and respond to environmental conditions over time.

I understand homes and buildings from the inside out because I have personally built, repaired, managed, and overseen them throughout my career. That real-world experience allows me to look beyond surface-level observations and provide meaningful insight into a property's condition.
